![]() ![]() She enjoyed camping, planting flowers and most of all visiting and spending time with her 10 children, the many grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends. Her “lutefisk” and “lefse” were high on her list of favorites – not sure her children acquired her taste for the “lutefisk”. Irene also enjoyed making traditional Norwegian treats during the holidays. Irene enjoyed baking and decorating cakes. These special gifts will always be cherished. She so enjoyed making something special for her children, grandchildren and friends. Irene enjoyed all sort of crafts including knitting, crocheting, sewing and ceramics. She attended Rasmussen Business College in Sioux Falls graduating in 1944. In 1943, she graduated from the Jasper High School. As a young girl Irene attended the Rosedell Lutheran Church where she was confirmed. She was preceded in death by her daughter-Barbara Jean Roberts in 1984. Patricia was a longtime Camp Fire Leader, cellist in the West Shore Symphony, and was a member of the Beechwood Reformed Church. She taught English at Grand Haven High School for many years. Curtis Snow Music Award as a senior at Hope College. She served as president of the Girls Glee Club and the Sibyllinie Sorority. Patricia was born in East Grand Rapids and graduated from Hope College where she played tennis, baseball, volleyball, and basketball.
